Queen angelfish are among the most visually striking reef fish in the Caribbean, exhibiting electric blue and yellow patterning that intensifies with age. They graze primarily on sponges, which make up the bulk of their diet, helping regulate sponge growth on the wreck and surrounding reef. Monogamous pairs maintain feeding territories and can often be seen swimming together along the Kittiwake's flanks.

How is this calculated?

Sighting evidence is compiled from iNaturalist observation records within a set proximity radius, filtered for quality-grade observations. “Last confirmed” is the date of the most recent research-grade record. Record count covers a rolling 24-month window. Confidence reflects record count, recency, and consistency of seasonal signal.
