Although more typically associated with warmer Indo-Pacific waters, the Mediterranean hosts its own spectacular nudibranchs across Xarraca's rocky reef. Seasonal nudibranch blooms transform the reef into a canvas of colour from late spring through summer, with species ranging from the tiny to the surprisingly large. Their diversity here exceeds most other Ibiza sites due to the mixed substrate of rock, sand, and seagrass.

How is this calculated?

Sighting evidence is compiled from iNaturalist observation records within a set proximity radius, filtered for quality-grade observations. “Last confirmed” is the date of the most recent research-grade record. Record count covers a rolling 24-month window. Confidence reflects record count, recency, and consistency of seasonal signal.
