Moray eels are the apex ambush predators of the El Cabrito wall crevices, with large individuals regularly exceeding 1.5 m in length. They hunt octopus and fish at night while spending daylight hours with their heads extended from cracks in the basalt, often attended by cleaner wrasse removing parasites.
