Loggerhead turtles are a year-round fixture at Punta Llana, drawn by cleaning stations where wrasse remove skin parasites and algae. The eastern Canaries population is one of the Mediterranean and Atlantic's healthiest, and Punta Llana is listed by the Spanish turtle monitoring network as a key foraging and resting site.
