Sighting evidence at Porto Katsiki Underwater, Lefkada

Large shoals of bogue congregate along the upper portions of the Porto Katsiki wall, moving in tight synchronised formations that catch the light against the blue water backdrop. They are omnivorous and opportunistic, feeding on both plant matter and small invertebrates, and form a critical prey base for the pelagic predators that patrol the open water beyond the wall. Their sheer numbers make wall dives here feel immersive within a living ecosystem.
