Mediterranean Moray

The wall structure of Çiftlik Bay provides ideal dens for Mediterranean morays, which are present throughout the depth range of the dive. Multiple individuals can often be spotted on a single dive, their spotted tan-and-brown patterns visible from the den entrance as they circulate water through their open mouths. Cleaning symbiosis with wrasse species is commonly observed here, with small cleaner wrasse working methodically over the moray's body and gills.
