Khor Ash-Sham
Musandam Peninsula · Oman
The longest and most dramatic of Musandam's fjords, Khor Ash-Sham extends 16 km between 1000 m limestone cliffs dropping straight into 70 m of calm, gin-clear water. The sheltered geography makes it one of the most beginner-friendly yet biologically rich dives in the peninsula, with garden eel meadows, reef whitetip sharks, and hawksbill turtles along the walls. It is also a reliable spot to encounter finless porpoises surfacing in the narrow channel above.
