Conger eels occupy rocky cavities and fallen masonry along the deeper portions of the wall, emerging at dusk to hunt fish and crustaceans across the adjacent reef. Individuals can reach over 2 metres in length and may live in the same den for many years. Their nocturnal activity makes night dives at this site particularly rewarding.

How is this calculated?

Sighting evidence is compiled from iNaturalist observation records within a set proximity radius, filtered for quality-grade observations. “Last confirmed” is the date of the most recent research-grade record. Record count covers a rolling 24-month window. Confidence reflects record count, recency, and consistency of seasonal signal.
