Hawksbill turtles feed along Kehpara's walls on the sponges and soft corals exposed on the vertical reef face, using their narrow beaks to extract prey from crevices inaccessible to other reef grazers. Individual hawksbills are reliably encountered on the western face of the pinnacle where sponge density is highest, often remaining in the same section of wall for an entire dive. Their fidelity to the site makes them one of Kehpara's most dependable wildlife encounters regardless of season.
