The jewel of the Caribbean reef, queen angelfish are abundant on Caja de Muertos's healthy coral structures, with electric blue-and-yellow adults defending territories among the sponges. Juveniles with their distinctive blue-ringed striping are frequently seen on the shallower rubble patches.
