Tablas Strait Drift
Romblon · Philippines
The Tablas Strait is a high-energy channel where nutrient-rich upwellings from the Sibuyan Sea collide with Visayan Sea currents, creating some of the most productive pelagic diving in the central Philippines. Divers drift at speed along submerged ridges and pinnacles where hammerhead sharks, manta rays, and enormous schools of big-eye trevally converge to feed. The combination of strong current and exceptional blue-water visibility makes this an advanced-level site that rewards experienced drift divers with encounters rarely seen elsewhere in the archipelago.
