Hawksbill turtles navigate The Maze's coral corridors with ease, squeezing through passages barely wider than their shells to reach sponge-rich feeding grounds deeper in the complex. Their narrow pointed beaks are perfectly adapted for extracting sponges from tight crevices, and several individuals are known to local divemasters by their shell markings.
