Bahía Concha
Tayrona National Park · Colombia
Bahía Concha is the gateway bay of Tayrona National Park, a calm horseshoe bay whose sheltered waters host a mosaic of coral patch reef, seagrass, and sandy bottom that together support extraordinary biodiversity across just 8 to 18 m depth. Green sea turtles graze the seagrass meadows while juvenile reef fish nurseries thrive in the shallows, and octopus hunt along the rubble margins at dusk. The site is ideal for newer divers and offers superb snorkelling alongside scuba, making it one of the most visited and ecologically intact marine zones on the Colombian Caribbean.
