Green sea turtles are a charismatic fixture at Renggis, regularly seen grazing on seagrass and algae encrusting the coral rubble zones. As herbivores, they play a vital role in maintaining seagrass bed health and cycling nutrients across reef and seagrass habitats. Tioman's protected marine park status has contributed to a stable resident population that divers encounter on nearly every dive.
