Punta Secca
Tremiti Islands · Italy
The dry point on San Domino's eastern tip is a rocky headland swept by consistent Adriatic current, making it the site most likely to produce open-water pelagic encounters in the Tremiti reserve. Schooling large sea breams, dentex, and amberjack orbit the point while the shallower reef is blanketed in posidonia and home to seahorses and cuttlefish. The east-facing aspect catches the first morning light and divers arriving early find the clearest water of the day.
