Spotted eagle rays are the signature species at Chagville Point, drawn by the mollusks and crustaceans buried in the rubble slope. They typically travel in pairs or small groups, their distinctive white-spotted mantles visible from 15 meters away as they glide past the reef edge. The Columbus Channel upwelling concentrates their prey, making this one of the most reliable eagle ray sites in Trinidad.
