Pillars of Hercules
Antigua and Barbuda · Antigua and Barbuda
Towering limestone sea caves and dramatic swim-throughs define this signature Antiguan dive site at the island's southwestern tip, where columns of rock plunge from 6 metres to a wall that drops beyond 30 metres into the blue. Dense clouds of silversides stream through the cavern entrances year-round, drawing spotted moray eels and Caribbean reef sharks to patrol the surge channels. Above the wall, healthy coral gardens of star and brain corals shelter a parade of sergeant majors, french angels, and hawksbill turtles that rest on the ledges.
