Sweepers form vast shimmering curtains inside the ship's holds, using the enclosed structure as daytime refuge from open-water predators. At dusk they disperse across the surrounding reef to feed on zooplankton, returning before sunrise in a predictable daily migration. Their copper-tinted, glassy bodies create a stunning visual effect when torchlight catches thousands of fish simultaneously rotating in place.
