Saint-Louis Wreck
Senegal · Senegal
A colonial-era iron steamship resting in 12 to 22 metres off the historic city of Saint-Louis, this wreck has spent decades transforming into an artificial reef encrusted with soft corals, sponges, and hydroids that cascade from every rusting surface. Schools of glassy sweepers and cardinalfish pack the interior holds while lionfish drape themselves across railings in theatrical stillness. The shallower sections sit in the surge zone and bloom with life, making this one of West Africa's most accessible and photogenic wreck dives.
