Chebeh Island
Tioman Island · Malaysia
Chebeh Island is a twin-peaked granite outcrop whose underwater faces are smothered in some of Tioman's most diverse hard coral, creating a three-dimensional maze that supports extraordinary fish biodiversity. Bumphead parrotfish visit the site in small groups to graze on massive coral heads, their feeding excavations audible underwater. Schools of batfish and sweetlips congregate in the shaded overhangs, making this one of the most photogenic reefs in the South China Sea.
