Brothers Islands — Walls and Deep
Egypt · Red Sea
The Brothers Islands rise from 800 m of open Red Sea as two sheer limestone pinnacles — Big Brother (El Akhawain El Kebir) and Little Brother (El Akhawain El Saghir) — separated by 1 km of open water. The deeper walls and remote corners of both islands reward advanced divers: Big Brother's south wall drops to beyond 60 m through soft coral forests, while Little Brother's east wall is a drift stage for oceanic whitetips curling in from the blue. Grey reef sharks patrol reef edges year-round and hammerhead schools gather in summer. Liveaboard-only access.
