Kish Island
Iran · Persian Gulf
A free-trade island in the Iranian Persian Gulf, Kish is one of the rarest dive destinations on the planet — accessible to most nationalities without a visa. The reefs here host Persian Gulf endemics found nowhere else, alongside lionfish, moray eels, hawksbill sea turtles, and dense schools of reef fish. The shallow, warm waters and unusual geopolitical context make every dive feel genuinely adventurous. Infrastructure is modest but growing, and the diving community is tiny, which means sites are almost always uncrowded.
