Sivota Bay
Lefkada · Greece
The sheltered lagoon and channel system of Sivota on Lefkada's southeastern coast creates one of the finest macro diving environments in the Ionian, where calm, clear water over sandy and rocky seabed reveals extraordinary biodiversity in the gentle shallows. Seahorses anchor to seagrass blades throughout the bay, while nudibranchs in a remarkable variety of species crawl across encrusted rocks and sponge surfaces along the channel walls. Octopus are especially abundant here, and patient divers may witness hunting behaviour and colour-changing displays during night dives that reveal a bay transformed by darkness.
