Jørpeland Wall
Trondheim Fjord · Norway
A near-vertical granite wall dropping from the surface to over 40 m on the south shore of Trondheimsfjorden, Jørpeland Wall is carpeted from top to bottom with plumose anemones, dead man's fingers, and jewel anemones in orange and white. The wall's cold upwelling draws pollock in shimmering schools and is one of the best places in Norway to photograph the characteristic 'wall of white' anemone formations that have made Scandinavian cold-water diving famous globally.
